This is a heads up for my readers who are interested in Big Data. Follow these steps to learn Hadoop and get a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas:

  1. Register with Big Data University.
  2. Enroll and complete the free Hadoop Fundamentals I course.
  3. You’ll receive a certificate of completion and an invitation to partecipate in the first Hadoop Programming Challenge.
  4. On October 3rd, three participants to this challenge will be selected for a free, all expenses paid, trip to Information on Demand (IOD) 2011 in Las Vegas on October 23rd – 27th.
