You may also be interested in knowing that, with virtualization, you can still legally run DB2 Express-C on a server with specs above the ones outlined in the license. You just need to ensure that the virtual machine you define has 4GB of memory and uses no more than two double-core CPUs.

This means that DB2 Express-C will work on a server with 8GB, just like the commercial versions do. However, please note that this will break the agreement as it is a violation of the license.
