Thank you very much for the review. I looked for Ultrathin in the store last night but they only got Type +. I bought Type + and it is really a great keyboard! Based on your review, I am thankful that I bought Type + instead. Thank you!

I had the ipad 3rdgen with the solar keyboard/case and loved it till it died exactly 13months from purchase. I then bought the ultrthin. I have never liked it but i needed a keyboard. I just got the Air 2 and went looking for a case. The Logitech Type+ is FABULOUS best keyboard case i have used. can speak to battery but otherwise it is light intuitive, a place for your stylus. I got blue, wanted red but BB only had blue...now i love the blue. If you need a case/keyboard this is the one for the Air 2.

I have not run into this problem with my keyboard. I do not use an extra protection layer on top of the screen however. Maybe they left virtually no room between the two, and the addition of such a layer is enough for it to be scratched by the keys.

I really enjoyed your review. It was the most practical and useful of any I have read. I just purchased an ipad air 2 and was looking for keyboard cases before taking delivery. Initially, I got the ultrathin, believing it maintains the sleek profile of air 2. However, it is quite slippery and provides no protection for the ipad. I like all other features, but for the hinge that appears to be waiting to break, even after 4 days.

i bought the type+ today and agree with you that it is superb. The fixed angle is where I tilt the ultrathin anyway. Unfortunately, i must return (or possibly exchange) the type+. After closing the lid and trying the tablet position a number of times, I notice when closed, the keyboard, actually the battery insert on the keyboard, is scratching my screen (smaller than an eraser, but large enough to notice). Because I have a zagg screensaver, I can actually see the mark. After thinking it was a smudge and vigorously cleaning, i continued to use the keyboard; however, after just a few open and closes, another "smudge" or scrape appeared. I can actually see a line forming across the ipad already. Perhaps it is a design flaw in mine, so I will try to sample another when I return it; otherwise, I am afraid I will return it and keep my ultrathin. At least the screen is well protected.

Any thoughts on the subject.
