What do non-technical people need but can’t seem to express?

What do non-technical people need but don’t ask for because they think it’s impossible?

What things are non-technical people currently doing the hard (inefficient and time consuming) way because they don’t know how to program? Invariably, they do these things and they feel smart but they don’t realize that their 8 hours work could be automated into a 2 minute shell script.

In other words, I understand how to program, I just don’t understand enough about social media or marketer’s needs to suggest improvements that they might like.
