In reply to Steve. I think it's a contributing factor. However the variation should only be by half a pound at most. It makes no sense for the variation to be up to pounds.

Thank you for a comprehensive credible review. I hope you have not only kept up your activity levels, but upped them!! I have a Fitbit charge and was wondering about the premium system, you have helped me confirm that I have all I need already. Actually I have found that the Fitbit communities provide the demographic data and the urge to improve.

Thank you for your extraordinarily comprehensive review. I’ve been a Fitbit user for years and haven’t tried Premium. I guess I’ll at least give it a try. I’m using the Charge now, and I like it a lot, although its sleep tracking is not as accurate as I’d like.

I read that if you move the aria scale that you have to get on scale a few times so to recalibrate. I finally found a spot that I can leave the scale without moving when I go to weigh myself but it does the same thing. Ist weight is approx a lb lighter. This doesn’t make sense.

Thanks for the review. Now I am almost sure I will join the Fitbit ecosystem.

However I will probably get a Fitbit Flex instead since I can imagine that I will forget to wear the Fitbit One.

In reply to Antonio Cangiano. Love the detailed review. Now that another year has gone by, do you still use the fitbit one. Do you still use the MFP sync, and/or do you use fitbit premium. I've had the fitbit one for a month, love it, and am looking for a bit more nutritional data when logging food. BTW, I don't have a smart phone, but do have Bluetooth on my kindle. Also trying to figure out the best way to log swimming and bicycling.

In reply to Andy Hume. I still use it every day, with a couple of changes: 1) I don't bother with sleep tracking anymore; 2) I log food and exercise via MyFitnessPal sync. Regarding the premium feature, it's nice but I don't use it too often.
